Do you look at preparedness as an overwhelming task and feel lost as to where to start? You’re not alone. I think we all feel that way a little. Creek, over at Willow Haven Outdoor, has some great advice he learned from a beaver – just chip away at it a little bit at a time. He’s speaking specifically about building a Bug Out Bag, but I think it applies to prepping in general. Do a little bit over time and before you know it you’ll be more prepared that 99.9% of the general population.
Could you endure a power outage for 24 hours? It’s a question Kellene(Preparedness Pro) and her family put to a test over one 24 hour period. They took on the challenge with others in their neighborhood and learned some valuable lessons. One lesson that several of the families learned was that their light sources weren’t as bright as they would have liked. This and other valuable lessons are priceless because so few of us ever actually put our preps to the test. Do a test yourself, or at least go read and learn from others.
